24 Week Bumpdate
Here's my first ever blog post featuring my baby bump.
I'm not sure why I didn't start sooner, but I guess it's better late than never. I know that I will be looking back at these posts in the future, so I will try to keep this new blog series pretty consistent until baby girl comes out.
Just a quick update: Jorge and I had my doctor's appointment the other day, and everything is pretty normal. Baby's heartbeat is normal, my blood pressure's normal, and I feel pretty normal (for a pregnant woman). I almost never have questions for my doctor, and that kind of makes me question myself sometimes. "Don't I have anything I'm curious about?! Am I prepared enough for this?! WHY DON'T I FREAKING HAVE QUESTIONS?!"
That same day, we redid my baby anatomy scan because we didn't see baby's genitalia the first time we had the ultrasound. This ultrasound was much more informational because the radiologist and the doctor were explaining to Jorge and I what we were looking at on the screen. They pretty much just reassured everything we already knew about our baby: that she is absolutely normal, and that she is indeed a girl; we even got a cute picture of her little vee🌸.
HOW FAR ALONG: 24 weeks (5.5 months)
HOW BIG IS BABY: OurLittleSuarez is a size of a Cantaloupe this week. (11.8 inches, 1.30 lbs.)
MATERNITY CLOTHES: Since it's still winter over here, I still wear my normal loose clothes and oversized knit sweaters and cardigans. I also love wearing my summer dresses as pictured above. The only maternity piece I consistently wear are my a•glow leggings.
SLEEP: I'm still a night owl, so I always sleep in. Baby girl is always awake around 3-5AM so it's kinda hard to fall asleep when she's moving. Not complaining though. I love feeling her movements.
MISS ANYTHING: Sushi!😭
MOVEMENT: Her movements are very distinct now. Still no crazy baby kicks, but she's definitely dancing inside me every once in a while. Jorge even felt her once. :)
CRAVINGS: French fries with ketchup. OMG. It's so bad, but sooo freaking satisfying. Also, black forest cake, but I never get it, so I settle for Nutella sandwiches.
HOW I'M FEELING: I'm feeling pretty bloated and heavy. Back pains are getting worse, but I'm still loving every bit of this pregnancy. Every week is a week closer to meeting her, and that makes me very excited.
PS: Got this post format from Courtney Shields.
