IT Cosmetics Top 5 Bestselling Products | Review + Video
This is probably going to be the most special post about makeup I'll ever do, both here on the blog and on my channel. Why? It's because IT Cosmetics is the first makeup company that reached out to me, ever, and sent me products to try out. I was in shock when I read their e-mail and at first I didn't really believe it. FORREAL?! WHAT? ME?!! HOW?!! It was really unbelievable but when it sank in, I just realized how blessed I was and I was just so excited! Victoria, if you're reading this, I would like to thank you again, from the bottom of my makeup-obsessed heart! 💖
So today, I will be showing the things I got in their box, and at the end, you will find the video of me trying these products out. In that video, I tried the products out for the first time and shared my first impressions. In this post, I will be giving somewhat of a better review since at this point, I've fully tested the products out.
Disclaimer: I am not in any way, showing off or bragging about the products I received. I'm doing this because I like to share my happiness and gratitude towards IT Cosmetics to you gals, and also because I want you girls to know whether these products are worth trying out. Their makeup products are not cheap, so I think this post will be helpful so you'll have a better idea on how these work for combination (oily/normal) skin. I don't want you to waste your money on stuff that are not good!
IT Cosmetics sent me their top 5 bestsellers so you could just imagine my excitement when I opened the box! I felt like I was a unicorn prancing on a rainbow! It was such an amazing feeling! And you guys, the box itself is just so cute!!! I really love the silky bow that came with it and it's really sturdy that I can use it to store makeup if I wanted to!
In the box:
1. Your Skin But Better™ CC Cream with SPF 50+
2. Bye Bye Under Eye® Anti-aging Concealer
3. Bye Bye Pores® Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro Powder
4. Brow Power® Universal Eyebrow Pencil
5. Superhero™ Mascara
Bonus: Heavenly Luxe® Complexion Perfection Brush #7
Your Skin But Better™ CC Cream with SPF 50+ | $38 1.08 fl oz.
Never in my life have I tried a CC cream that claims to be full coverage and actually lives up to its word! I was so impressed by this product that I'm actually so excited for summer (again) because this is probably the only foundation I'll be wearing for the upcoming hot months. I tried this out without a primer and my skin still looked flawless and almost poreless. It's very lightweight and I love that it will protect my skin from the sun's harmful rays!
- Highly pigmented and covers absolutely everything and anything
- Scientific breakthrough - clinically shown multi-tasking skin care, coverage and protection all-in-one
- SPF 50+ Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB non-chemical physical only sunscreen
It is thick, but blends out like a dream that it feels like you're not wearing foundation at all.
It comes in a tube which I think is perfect if you're a traveler so you won't have to worry about glass breaking and stuff. It has a pump which I love, and it releases the product out nicely.
I prefer using a brush for this foundation. I tried using a beauty sponge as well and it ended up looking splotchy on my face and noticed that it oxidized a little bit. I'm not sure how that (using a sponge) is a factor in the oxidation, but that's what happened to my face. You get a fuller, better coverage and finish if you use a brush.
This will conceal any blemishes you have on your face. It is full coverage, but you can sheer it out if you use a damp beauty sponge, but it might look a little splotchy. Also, not everything that is full coverage means it's going to be heavy on the face! This one feels so lightweight.
It has a satin finish. If you have dry skin and love the dewy look, you will love this product! If you have combination/oily skin, this will still work well, just remember to set your face with powder.
I have oily/normal skin and I noticed that my face didn't get as oily as I used to with other products. It only got oily on my nose. My entire face ends up looking ridiculously shiny and gross at the end of the day with other foundations, but that didn't happen with this one.
Con: It is pretty pricey and there's only 5 shades available.
This foundation only comes in 5 shades. If you're an in-between shade kind of girl (like me), it will be a little painful for your wallet to get a match because you're probably going to get two shades to achieve that. Good news though, they offer a travel size, which is less than half of the price of the full-size products. If you take that route, you're going to be able to get two shades for the price of one! 😉
In the video, I tried on the shade Tan, thinking it's the right one for me, but it ended up too light. I will probably mix Rich and Tan to get my right shade.
I love it! It's our best summer companion. It's the perfect one-step face product for that no makeup makeup look. It sets pretty nicely on my skin and I love that it is full coverage without that thick and heavy feeling. My skin still looks like skin when I use this, and like I said, it didn't make my face extremely oily throughout the day. It comes with a very convenient pump and it kind of smells like oranges (not strong!! It will not annoy you, I just found it interesting!)!! And not only am I getting a great foundation, I'm also getting the best sun protection for my skin.
Will I recommend this product? HECK YES! 👍
Bye Bye Under Eye® Anti-Aging Concealer | $24 0.28fl.oz
This was one of the things I was most excited for when I opened the box. This is a cult favorite; everyone in the beauty world is talking about this concealer, and for a very good reason. It's simply amazing! I actually have a NYX concealer that is very comparable to this one (let me know if you want a dupe post on it), and that one gets the job done, but it makes my under eyes look so dry and wrinkly. It wasn't cute, but don't get me wrong, it still works, but it's not as amazing as the Bye Bye Under Eye.
- Highly pigmented, covers absolutely everything and anything
- Won’t crease and crack into lines
- Diffuses the appearance of lines and wrinkles
- Treats skin with anti-aging powerhouse ingredients
It is very thick, like the CC cream, but again, once you blend it out, it feels so thin.
The concealer is packaged in this little tube that you have to squeeze for product to come out. I'm not a fan of it to be honest. I actually had a hard time squeezing the concealer out of the tube. I just think that maybe the packaging helps in keeping the concealer in its best form; so the concealer won't dry up too quickly.
Like I said before, I'm not a fan of this kind of packaging, so the application is a little tricky. You can either squeeze out too much product, or too little. I squeeze the product on the back of my hand, then I use my ring finger to apply product directly on my under eyes, then I blend it away with either the same finger or a damp beauty sponge.
Also, this concealer will crease if you don't set it with a powder. Take note of that. You must always set your under eye concealer.
Definitely full coverage, but just like their CC cream, it doesn't feel thick or heavy. I have really dark under eye circles and this covered it up real good. Not only will it say goodbye to your dark circles, this concealer will help brighten up your under eye region as well.
This concealer gives the nicest finish. This will make you look so alive and fresh! It will not accentuate the fine lines around the eye area, and again, it feels lightweight. It will not look "cakey", and will definitely NOT dry up the under eyes. And here's the best part, if you set it with powder, this concealer will not crease at all! I promise you that!
Cons: It's pricey and the packaging isn't that great!
This is definitely not a cheap concealer because it retails for $24 for .28fl.oz! For a cheap spender like me, #dasespensive! And I know that they only have 4 shades for this line of concealer, but I think they created great colors to cater for every type of skin tone, since this concealer is only focused for the under eyes. They have a guide on their website to help you pick out the right shade for you.
First of all, the coverage is amazing! You'll have to watch the video below to see it in action. A little goes a long way, and if you are willing to splurge on a great concealer, give this one a shot. Again, this can be a great summer buddy because it is waterproof. It doesn't fade, and it kept my under eyes bright even after a long day. What I loved the most about this concealer is the fact that I didn't have to bake my under eyes to set it in place, and it still didn't crease up on me! I just set my concealer with their Bye Bye Pores micro powder and it was just like magic! It was so shocking to me! I did the flash test in my video and it will show up, if you don't blend the powder into your skin properly.

Bye Bye Pores® Silk HD Anti-aging Micro Powder | $24 0.23oz.
To be honest, I was surprised when I saw how small it is. But oh-no-no-no-no. It may be small, but it packs a punch! I know what you may think: "It's probably just another typical loose powder in the market with a higher price point. What's new." because that's what I thought when I saw this in the box. But yo ladies, let me tell you that this is a life changer, and I'm not even exaggerating!
I'm one of those people who (is) was convinced that all loose powders are the same and that they will all just let me down. To me, loose powders are for baking my under eyes because that's what they're good for! And I didn't forget the fact that if I don't use it right, my face will look like a ghost, or better yet, an espasol in flash photography, and we all know how cute that looks. 😂 But guess what? This powder proved me wrong and it restored my faith in micro HD powders, but I still have a con for this one!
- Instantly creates the look of airbrushed skin
- Amazing ingredients for younger looking skin
- Beautiful on mature skin
- Keeps skin fresh and shine-free
I was never a fan of micro powders, if you didn't already realize that. To me they're so messy, and this one is no different. This one came with a little powder puff though and that's a plus for me because it's going to be perfect to use if you want to press the powder on the skin, as opposed to applying it with a big and fluffy powder brush.
The container is plastic and has a matte feel to it.
I tap the powder onto the cap and I pick up the powder using my brush. It can be very messy.
But, I liked that this powder didn't change color when I applied it on top of my concealer and foundation. Some loose powders tend to switch color and turn slightly orange/brown. This one stayed translucent.
It's translucent and is suitable for all skin tones.
This powder gives that really nice airbrushed look on the face! It really does blur out the pores without making the face look too dry and powdery. On my initial application, I thought that the powder didn't really stick nicely onto my skin because I could see it sitting on top of my skin, but after a few minutes, I noticed that it blended into my skin and there was no trace of powder on my face at all.
I used this powder to set my Bye Bye Under Eye concealer the normal way (not by baking), and it didn't make my concealer crease at all. It didn't dry up my under eyes, and it didn't accentuate the fine lines around my eyes. Loose powders tend to make the under eyes look dry and wrinkly. This didn't do any of that.
Con: It's messy and unfortunately, you can get that ugly white cast in flash photography.
I just don't like how messy loose powders can be in general. I also don't like that micro powder feeling left on the fingers. Please let me know that I'm not the only one who hates that feeling. It's like there's powder everywhere and it makes my skin crawl. Haha. I'm actually so tempted to store all my loose powders in a separate drawer because they make all my other stuff feel powdery to the touch.
And I'm very sad to inform you that this will give that ugly flashback in photos. Any powder that has silica with give you that white cast. DARN IT!
Like I said before, I think this is a life changer for me. I was so impressed with how this performed on my skin. It set my under eyes amazingly. It prevented my face from getting super oily and you'll see in the video that the area that ended up oily was just my nose. For $24, I think it's a really great powder. But I think I will get the pressed powder form after I'm through with this one. Kathleenlights was raving about it so I'll have to try it for myself and see if that one's really better than this micro-powder one. If this didn't give me flashback, this would be a holy grail product for me.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of eyebrow pencils because to me, it's just too much work. I am blessed with a nice set of full brows so I don't really feel the need to draw in fake brow hairs every time I do them. I just feel more comfortable using a wax+powder duo or a cream like the Anastasia Dipbrow pomades. But I can't deny the fact that I got excited when I saw this pencil in the box!
I've never tried a brow pencil like this one that has a really firm and fine tip and when I tried this one for the first time, I was actually very impressed. And I love that for every Brow Power® pencil sold, one is donated to go to help women face the effects of Cancer with Confidence! Cancer patients lose their eyebrow hairs while fighting their battles and I agree that they should face it confidence! I would purchase this product for that fact alone. And yes, I do have a soft spot for cancer patients because I lost my mom to cancer.
- Universal, transforming shade that matches all hair colors
- Formulated to adhere to skin and to mimic the look of real hair
- Long-wearing formula won’t budge or smudge
- Brow enhancing and conditioning benefits
It comes in like a metal/steel container and I think that's pretty cool. Most pencils I see on the market are made out of plastic.
You get the pencil on one side and a nice spooley on the other end, both with caps.
It's not in any way creamy but it glides onto the skin nicely. There's no tugging whatsoever. It is very firm but it's not dry. And although the pencil may be stiff, it's soft enough to blend out nicely with the spooley.
Con: Personally, I don't have any.
But I read some reviews that the pencil is a little too fragile that it could break inside the tube. Hopefully, that doesn't happen with mine.
I really like it because it gave me the most natural looking brows ever. I will use this on days when I don't feel like doing bold brows. It's actually a quicker and easier method than my usual brow routine. This will stay put and will not smudge throughout the day. And if you do not want to commit to buying the full size product, you can test out their travel size first which is only $12.
Superhero™ Mascara | $24 0.30floz.
This is new on the market and it claims to do a lot of great things to our lashes! The Superhero mascara claims to be both volumizing and lengthening, and based on my initial application, I can tell you that I was impressed.
I'm not easily impressed by mascaras, especially on the first application because I prefer mascaras that are already dried up a little bit, but that's just my personal preference.
- Game-changing, exclusive Elastic Stretch Technology for volume & length!
- Lash-Changing Power Brush for maximum reach, lift, separation & curl
- Super-buildable formula for custom lash-power results
- Super Black pigment plus collagen to condition as you coat
It's a shiny and skinny black tube. I like the short bristles and it's not too stubby. This mascara has no strong funky smell.
It's very user friendly. Since the brush isn't too big, it's very easy to brush through the lashes, and it's thin enough to go really close to the lash line. I tried it out doing two different methods: 1. my experimental way and 2. the IT Cosmetics way.
My Way: I suggest that you curl the lashes before application, then apply mascara at the tips of lashes first, then brush upwards from the roots to the tips.
IT Cosmetics Way: Start wiggling the brush at the roots, then comb through lashes upwards.
Check out the video below to see the comparison.
It can look a little spidery/clumpy if you apply too much so I suggest that you stick to just applying one coat, but if you like the clumpy look then just do you boo! But honestly, you can do without the second coat! ;)
This mascara made my lashes look really black, which I like very much and it did make my lashes appear longer and thicker! It was also very easy to remove. I usually remove my eye makeup using coconut oil. The coconut oil melted the mascara down in seconds, making the eye removal process so quick. I didn't notice any flakiness.
Bonus: Heavenly Luxe® Complexion Perfection Brush #7 | $48
I didn't realize how expensive this brush was! OMG! This is the most expensive item in the box, OMG!
- Perfect for an airbrushed application
- Helps to blur away imperfections and build coverage when used with foundation and concealer
- The fluffy end has 12,800 hair count, and the smaller tighter end has 6.400 hair count
- Cruelty Free
I've tried this brush out and I liked how it performed! I don't usually use a brush to blend out my under eye concealer, because personally, I think concealers blend better and easier with a damp sponge. But today, when I used the conceal side of the brush to blend out the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer, I liked how it looked. Then I used the all-over side to buff the concealer out even more and I liked that it didn't feel scratchy at all, and it made my under eyes look well blended out.
Con: It's ridiculously expensive! And it's hard to store.
But do I think it's worth the $48? I don't think so. You can do without this brush. I don't think it works better than other cheaper brushes in the market. That's just my honest opinion. And one more con; I don't really know how to store this brush! 😭 My mason jars get dusty at the bottom, so will I have to pick which side I think is better off dirty? HAHA. I don't really like dual brushes.
Go ahead and watch this video if you want to see how these products worked for me: WARNING! The video is extremely long! HAHA. I suggest that you grab a snack or a cup of coffee while watching!
I know that this post was a very long one, but I really hope that it was informative and helpful. If you want me to do tutorials using these products, let me know and I would love to do them for you.
Again, I would like to give a big THANK YOU to IT Cosmetics for providing all of the products that I talked about today. I didn't expect to love everything that I got in the box they sent me and I'm glad that they were all great. I had high hopes on IT Cosmetics because everybody spoke highly of their products and I'm glad that they lived up to my expectations.
Victoria of IT, I don't know how you found me in this vast World Wide Web, but I'm very happy that you did and I am very grateful that you found me worthy to be sent such amazing makeup, that is, IT Cosmetics! THANK YOU!
Disclaimer: Here's another disclaimer. Yes, IT Cosmetics sent me products, but I wasn't paid to talk about them on my blog or my YouTube channel. This post is not sponsored by IT Cosmetics. But I did however include affiliate links in this post.
