Korean Beauty and Skincare Haul | MEMEBOX
Ever since the boom of KPOP, I've always been so curious about Korean skincare because Koreans' skin just look so flawless! I don't think I've ever seen a Korean with really bad skin. I've seen some Koreans in person and I've come to the conclusion that they don't have pores! 😂 How can their faces be so smooth and fresh-looking all the time?! That's how I know Korean skin care products are worth checking out because they definitely know what they're doing!
MemeBox (pronounced as mee-mee) is the world's number one K-beauty store, as stated on their website. They do curated boxes which you can subscribe to, and they also function as a regular online shop where you can directly purchase K-beauty products from. They carry a wide variety of K-Beauty brands like Etude House, InnisFree, SkinFood, Banila Co, and many more.
Raisa and Shayne were talking about Korean skincare on Miitomo and the conversations we had on the app pushed me to finally get my hands on some Korean beauty products! So without further ado, let's get into the products I got from MemeBox!
~ Make Up ~
MemeBox also carries Korean Makeup products. Ever since I've seen those Artis paddle brushes, I've always wanted one for myself! But the Artis brushes cost an arm and a leg and there's no way I can afford those, so when I saw this brush by Etude House, I knew I had to get it! This is the only product I got under "makeup". The rest are skin care products.
This is the Etude House Secret Brush 121 Skin. One of the reasons why I got this is because of how it looks. I mean, look at it! It looks so pretty and fancy!!! Is it a hair brush? Is it a tooth brush? 😂 That's the second reason why I got it. HAHA. It's definitely going to be a conversation starter once I start using this in my videos.
Yes, the brush looks pretty, but it doesn't feel heavy duty. The handle is plastic and it feels kind of flimsy, but it's sturdy enough for me to be able to spread out my foundation beautifully. If you want a complete review and demo of this product, let me know and I will definitely do it for you guys!
~ Skin Care ~
Kathleenlights has talked about these konjac sponges and she said that these are really great cleansing aids in her skincare routine so when I saw this on the Memebox website, I purchased it!
This is the InnisFree Volcanic Konjac Cleansing Sponge. It is equipped with powerful sebum-absorbing ability, which leads to a fresh, clean and smooth skin after using it. I haven't tried this out yet but I will update you guys on how I feel about it in the future! Be sure to follow me on Snapchat because that's where I sporadically update you guys on stuff. 👻 CORINTHSUAREZ
Sheet face masks have been so popular recently and I've been wanting to try them out for a while now! The ones I got are these Bonvivant Botanical Mask Packs! Look how pretty these look! UGH! I appreciate good branding! 😍
Anyway, I got two different kinds: the blue pack is their 💙 Pore Tightening & Sebum Control Mint Tea Tree Mask, and the pink pack is their 💗 Clarifying and Hydrating Rose Mask .
I've tried the pink pack once and OMG, it felt so good! It definitely hydrated my skin and it made my skin feel so fresh and smooth! I usually don't like rosy scents but this one, I liked very much! It's amazing! Now, I'm really excited to try out the Pore Refining Mask since my pores get clogged easily, making them look so gross and nasty! 🙄
The last thing I got from MemeBox is this Mini K-Beauty Travel Kit! Since I'm a newbie when it comes to Korean skincare, I thought that this travel kit is going to be the best way for me to be able to try out a bunch of products, so I can discover which ones would work best for my skin! For only $10, I get all of this:
The sample sizes are pretty decent and for $10, this pack is definitely worth trying out! I get to try a bunch of skincare products from different Korean skincare brands! I'm so excited to try all of this out!
They also included a little guide on the functions of the products in the kit which is really helpful because most of the labels and instructions are in Korean and I can't understand Korean at all. HAHA.
That concludes my Korean Beauty Haul! Again, if you would like to see reviews and demos on specific products, just let me know! Also, don't forget to follow me on Snapchat. I usually tend to ramble on there about products I've been trying out.
