Thrift Store Diaries - Super Oversized Sweater

I think right now, I just have to accept the fact that I AM THICK.

Even Jorge tells me this. He likes it I guess, but I don’t! As a blogger, I literally have no new clothes to wear because all my other clothes just look ugly on me! And because we are new parents, shopping just isn’t in the cards for us, so whenever I do want to buy clothes, I make sure we hit the thrift shops because I know this postpartum weight is temporary.

A few days ago, Jorge took me to Unique and this super oversized top is one of the few pieces that I got to take home.

It’s in the size 2XL and I think that it’s perfect for what I need right now! Anything tight on me is just a big NO, so when I tried this on, I immediately fell in love. Because it’s extremely large, I am able to get this super relaxed fit that I find is flattering on my body. If I can’t see my back fats being squished by my bra, it’s a big YES!

I wore it like an off-the-shoulder top and tucked the front part into my black jeans from Uniqlo. I folded the sleeves to fit my arms because otherwise, I would look silly. Since it was relatively warm this day, I opted for no jacket and brought this extremely soft scarf from Romwe. I accessorized with leather and gold jewelry/watch, and wore my little purse from Shein. My shoes are the suede version of my favorite shiny boots from last year that I couldn’t stop wearing. I cannot find those shiny boots, so I bought its sister! I love that the heel is gold! Got it from JustFab from their recent sale!

This is the outfit that I wore at my first event since giving birth! I know it looks very chill, almost not appropriate for an event, but this is me, and I love comfy. :)
