Our Haeckel Hill Adventure

On Saturday, Jorge and I started our day late, as usual. It was my day off so we slept in, like we usually do. We bonded with my sister and Heather over breakfast, then I wrote blog posts that I actually finished writing! WOOHOO! Jorge helped me with my blog photos and everything went according to plan. I was able to accomplish my to-do list and at 5PM, Jorge and I were left with nothing to do! Okay, maybe we could have done laundry because I can see our laundry basket overflowing with dirty laundry right now. But yeah, we felt so bored that day! WHAT TO DO?!

VLOG: Vancouver, Canada - #CorinthGoestoVancouver

I finally finished editing the video and it's now live! I won't say much on here anymore because I already wrote three blog posts about this trip.

If you want to see how I did the picture with Fritz leaning with the slanting trees, and if you want to see Vancouver in motion, watch the entire thing. It's a little long, but I promise it's not boring!

On the road: Yukon and British Columbia

Jorge and I have been anticipating for this road trip since last week and we're really glad we were able to go yesterday, as planned! We decided to go drive past Carcross this time, all the way to British Columbia, because I told Jorge how pretty the views were along that road.  I've been on these roads twice before this trip. First, in the summer of 2013, then in the fall of the same year (when I had to exit Canada for my Permanent Residence card). I've never experienced driving along those roads in the winter so I thought it would be nice to show Jorge how it looks right before all the white goodness melts off. After our day trip, Jorge was convinced to drive back again, but in the summer this time, when all the colors would just be a beautiful and vibrant sight to see!

Wednesday Wander

Today was one of those "meh" days at work that I sent Jorge a text saying, "I hate it here," while I was on my break. Maybe because my finger bled and was hurting that I spoke out of my butt, but seriously speaking, I was feeling so exhausted from work and I just needed a breath of fresh air.

Coincidentally, it snowed today and it was the pretty kind. I hate the COLD winter but I love it when it snows. It wasn't too cold today so at 4, when Jorge picked me up from work, we decided to go visit a favorite spot just close to our house. It was icy and slippery and for a few minutes there, I thought I was going to roll down the steep hill and die, but good news, you're reading this so that means I lived to tell this tale. (haha)

Our Rendezvous Adventure

The Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous is a winter festival held annually on February here in Whitehorse that involves awesome snow sculptures, events for all ages and some local shows. This year we were blessed with a "warm" February! We're talking about 5ºC compared to -15ºC last year. I actually thought that it's gonna be better experiencing Rendezvous this year because of how "warm" it's been this past week but boy, was I wrong. SO wrong. It slipped my mind that we had snow and ice all around Whitehorse so yeah, this city was a melted mess. It was wet, muddy and just ugly!

Jorge and I were actually really looking forward to Rendezvous-ing most especially, seeing the snow sculptures because it would be so appropriate for Instagram's #WHP! (#WHPlocalstory), so we did go today and what we saw were BIG snow carvings that have...

already melted and fallen on the muddy ground. :(

This was Jorge's first Rendezvous experience and it was a bad one. But we didn't want to end our day at that point so we decided to drive around and of course, take pictures to turn the bad experience into a fun one! I on the other hand took more phhhotos and recorded snapchats instead of pictures because using PHHHOTO and Snapchat are more fun!

So without further ado, here are phhhotos from today and at the end of this post is a video of today's Snapchat Story.

Explore with Corinth: Valentine's 2015

The first valentine's day Jorge and I celebrated as a couple, we were 3,500 freaking miles away which sucked BIG TIME, but I received this awesome video (as a gift) that Jorge shot and edited and it made me feel like we were not apart at all. :">

This past VDay weekend was the second time Jorge and I celebrated it, and at that time, as a married couple and most importantly, we celebrated together together! Not that we really celebrated or did anything special though, because I worked over time that day and we just didn't really have the time to prepare anything for each other, but we still found ways to greet Mr. Valentine and of course, we celebrated with what we know that give both of us joy: Mexican food, a road trip and a glorious hike!

My Pinterest Home Board

If you have been following me for some time now, more specifically around Christmas time, you probably already know that Jorge and I are currently house-sitting for my co-workers and have been living in their house for two weeks now. It's been quite an experience!

Jorge and I have never really gotten our 'privacy' from the day we got married because I share a house with my sisters. When Jorge decided to move here to Canada to be with me for good, we didn't really plan on renting out our own place because 1.) it's very expensive, 2.) Jorge can't help me with the expenses because he doesn't have a work permit, and 3.) it's VERY expensive and I can't shoulder all our expenses. Did I say that already? hehe. So yeah, it's a ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY kind of thing at our house. It's nice because my sisters and I share with rent, utilities, internet, and it really helps Jorge and I financially, but sometimes, it can be a little too much. TOO MUCH in terms of doing house CHORES!

Carcross Vlog [VIDEO]

A week ago from today, Jorge and I drove the family van to Carcross for a short winter exploration date! Jorge and I have been craving to go out so when the opportunity came up, we grabbed it!

It was a short exploration day for us since the sun rises late and sets really early here in the north but we made sure we made the best out of our sunlight! We were blessed with good weather conditions that day! It wasn't ridiculously cold, and the wind was surprisingly absent that day. The sun peeked through the clouds, pouring its golden glory on God's majestic mountains. God made sure we had the drive of our life! <3

Explore With Corinth: Winter Wonderland

I'm a Filipina. I came from a country where 25ºC is considered "cold" and I honestly wish I could have stayed there. I have low tolerance for the cold and right now, I am forced to endure freezing temperatures because I can't afford to move elsewhere! I live in Whitehorse, Canada and guess how cold it gets in this place: -40ºC! That's insane, but it won't stop Jorge and I from exploring this city.
